Special Message to the Leadership of Collecting Clubs
Through special arrangements with Association Insurance
Administrators (AIA), it is now possible to make the Association of
Collecting Clubs (ACC) insurance program the official insurance
program of your club.
AIA provides insurance strictly to antique and collectible associations.
The policy is underwritten by American Safety Insurance Company or
AXA Art Insurance Corporation, depending on limits requested and your location.
Both companies are rated "A" by AM Best.

- You will be provided with insurance brochures with program information,
rate schedule and application.
- The brochure will include your club logo on the front and a personal
message from your president.
- AIA can provide staff to participate at your meetings, conventions or
shows as speakers, as an insurance information booth and promotion.
- AIA is receptive to newsletter articles and advertising relating to
insurance issues in club publications.
This specialized club insurance program is tailored to serve collecting clubs
and their memberships. This will become your insurance program, offering a
major benefit to your members and become a very attractive addition to your
membership recruitment & retention package.
About the Insurance
Where can you get $20,000 in coverage for only $75 a year?
Or, how about $125,000 worth for $350 per year?
The Association of Collecting Clubs insurance program was developed strictly
with the collector in mind. If you are a collector and have a collection,
you need ACC/NAC Collectors' Insurance.
ACC/NAC Insurance is provided through the Association Insurance Administrators,
strictly offering insurance policies to antique & collectible associations.

- No appraisals are required. Only single items over $2,500 need to be
listed on the application.
- For replacement costs, you will be paid the current market retail
value of the item at the time of lost. ("Current Market Value" means
the amount, at the time of the loss, that it would cost to replace a
property with another of similar age, quality, origin, appearance and
condition within a reasonable length of time in an appropriate and relevant
market.)
- There is hassle free claim settlement by Association Insurance Administrators' experts.
NOTE: This policy will not cover dealer inventory. If some of your members are
also dealers in need of insurance, AIA has a separate dealer insurance program available.
We have all invested untold hours and a lot of money in our collection. Over the years,
it has truly become a labor of love for each of us. Like any other major investment, we
realize that it should be insured against loss or damage. It has become more difficult
and/or expensive to find insurance coverage from our homeowner insurer or other insurance
companies. Most require independent appraisals which can be expensive and difficult to
obtain. Your club has a responsibility to encourage your members to have their collections
insured.
ACC had a booth at the Atlantique City Antiques & Collectibles show in October. In doing
an informal survey of show-goers visiting our booth, we found a vast majority of them had
no insurance on their collections. We suspect that you will find the same type of response
if you were to query your club membership. For more information and a complete chart of
insurance rates go to: http://collectors.org/General/Insurance.asp.
This specialized club insurance program is available only to organized clubs, societies,
associations or groups. Please let us know if you have any questions. We will be happy to
try to answer them and to work with you in providing collector insurance to your members,
while also providing a new revenue source for your club.
If you would like more information, give us a call so that we may discuss your insurance
needs and time frame.
